Debbie Williams from WKRG TV in Mobile reported that for the first time in 70 years a pair of American Bald Eagles are nesting on the Alabama Gulf Coast. We did find the nest and a bald eagle standing guard on the limb above it. Soon after the second eagle flew in and landed in the nest. I still have goose bumps and it’s been several hours since we saw them.
Another Bald Eagle was spotted near the Weeks Bay National Estuary Research Center and is just a short drive from the B&B. See How It Landed Its Catch On The Following Video.

David Farragut skillfully slipped past the mine field off Fort Morgan and Fort Gaines where the ironclad USS Tecumseh had already sank.
